[Re-Volt] RV Car Studio goes open source

Hello Re-Volters! Happy new year 2019!

It has been 5 years since you have heard about RV Car Studio from my side. Since its release on 22nd December 2013.

After that, just couple of updates were released, all of them were minor, and no major release was committed.

Yes, RV Car Studio was not able to see more light as a lot of things have been going on in real life. At the end, the other tasks made it impossible to resume working on RV Car Studio despite my own will to commit on it. The decision to open source RV Car Studio is finally made today.


What is RV Car Studio? Basically just a tool for editing Re-Volt cars. Although it was intended to allow cars from scratch, right now, it can only help by editing the current settings of the cars. The features in RV Car Studio makes things very easy! You can automatically calculate Inertia Matrix, wheels positions, change the positions of 1, 2 and 4 car parts (wheels, axis etc) at the same time! Everything in real-time!

[Projects] Projet schéma

Bonjour,

Aujourd’hui, je vais présenter un petit projet que nous étions conseillé de faire (baah… c’était plutôt optionnel ….) .

Donc c’est un projet “Schéma d’une maison” (matière schéma electrique).

Le projet donc à présenter est composé de 2 sous projets (enfin, le 3ème est annulé faute de temps…)

– Projet Autocad: vue de toît (ou de haut) présentant le schéma architectural électrique en 2D.

– Projet Sweethome3D+3Ds max: Maison câblée en 3D.

En effet, manque de temps, j’ai pas pu résolu tous les erreurs du version client  [preview du maison dans un client (application) en dehors du 3Ds max]

[Programming:KDL] KDL (reformed)

Hello people

I’m here today presenting my newest reformulation of ‘KDL’ language which was halted for 3 years

The new language whose syntax is [will be] heavily based on ‘Algorithmique’  (The programming language taught in Prépa system in Tunisia [more precisely IPEIS]) and ‘KDL v0.01‘ as well as BASIC. The new language will aim at: Students and Scholar systems, new programmers, algorithmic testers, young people (children, adolescents and young), files and batch programmers and interested people.

This language will have two faces: Algo and KDL (defining by Algo goes like: var x: real while defining in KDL goes like: define x as real)

Currently the language is available for first tests (supporting shell/interactive shell mode) and available for Public testing here

– HULL render/preview (possibility: built-in Hull editor)

– fix axles, springs and pins using cylindrical bases (instead of Cartesian one)

– skidmark’s width’s GUI

– Scale, opacity width

– On(prm/rvminis) => refresh

– Render window : Resize 

– two wheels and auto generate other wheels

– Implement Car manager’s stock car detection

– Implement ZIP archiving, .exe self-extract format

– PIN, axles, spring, aerial, spinner editing

– wheel editing and wheel’s 2nd offset editing

–  IrrLicht NET CP and Meshbuffer problem (going to contact the admin I guess)

[Re-Volt][Car::Load] v1.8.3pa (pre Alpha preview version)

Hello, this is the pre alpha version of 1.8.3, the version that should be able to fix the whole graphic problems (or should be that left for v1.9?) and also able to fully edit Re-Volt parameters

It includes additional (new and fixed stuffs), I recall:

– Restarting program/added changing rendering engine warning

– floor

– (fake shadow)

– ENVmap / Alpha channel (sadly irrLicht doesn’t support both of them at the same time)

– sounds

– Light + Goraud (= bad results)

– bug fix

[Re-Volt] W_Console

It’s for making texture animated in Re-Volt; or envshade or just shade

A small program for manipulating a .w file

You’ll have to: [Select one world file] –> [Select one mesh] –> modify it

Programmed using VB.NET 2008 (.NET pack 2.0 is needed, no need for 3.5 btw) and w_console script

Note: it’s for now the only tool for animating a texture and envshading 🙂   It’s recommended to read the full manual here (tuts are included)

– You can use it as default gif viewer (for Windows)

– It’s open Source, you are free to modify it

Commands:

–  Press “space” in order to switch from/to full window stretch mode/normal size

– left, right: next image, previous one

– commands folder or a file: [gif Viewer <foldername>] or  [gif Viewer <gif path>]
